Introduction

The Energy and Natural Resources Business Cluster has materialized through Golden Pharos Berhad and Syarikat Air Terengganu Sdn Bhd (SATU). Both are committed to providing a spectrum of products and services while at the same time embracing the environmental ecosystem and sustainability initiatives. In support of the government's green initiatives, the Group has embarked on energy production through solar farms and rooftop solar installations.

Golden Pharos Berhad (GPB)

GPB is listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia and is the only GLC involved in the timber industry. GPB manages the largest timber concession in Peninsular Malaysia with an area of 123,931 hectares.

Our Products & Services

PESAMA

Established in 1973, PESAMA is located at Kawasan Perindustrian Jakar, Chukai, Kemaman, Terengganu with an area of about 29.43 acre. Currently, PESAMA offers products such as sawn timber, moulding, woodchip, saw dust and offering kiln drying and wood treatment services.

PESAKA

Pesaka Trengganu Berhad was established in 1965. Located at Bukit Besi, Dungun, PESAKA's operation has a well equipped sawmill with an average output of 3,500 m3 of saw and timber a month. PESAKA offers an extensive range of species of Tropical Hardwood, as well as Heavy Hardwood, Medium Hardwood and Mixed Light Hardwood (MLHW).

KPKKT

Kumpulan Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Trengganu Sdn. Bhd. (KPKKT) was established on 13th March 1980 as a subsidiary of Golden Pharos Berhad (GPB), a Terengganu government link company (GLC) listed on the Main Board of the Malaysian Stock Exchange (Bursa Malaysia). KPKKT is the Group's timber concession management for approximately 123,931 ha, comprising 103,688 ha at the Dungun Timber Complex (DTC) and 20,243 ha at Cherul Forest Concession (CFC) under the Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) principle and the precepts of the Malaysian Selective Management System (SMS), while meeting the standards of FSC and expectations of the various stakeholders.

GPFP

GP Forest Plantation (GPFP) is a vital component of the Group's forest preservation initiative especially in the planting, transplanting, thinning, and conservation of forests and timber tracts, as well as in the operation of forest tree nurseries. GPFP is located in the KPKKT's office in Bukit Besi, Terengganu. Through its commendable work, GPFP contributes to the Group’s commitment to sustainable forestry and responsible land use practices, ensuring a greener and healthier future for generations to come.

GP Glass

GP Glass started its tempered glass production in 1992. Currently, the plant has production capacity of producing 750,000 square meter of tempered and laminated glass per year. GP Glass offers variety of products and services that can be tailored made to fulfill customer's requirements such as Tempered Safety Glass, Heat Strengthen Glass, Double Glazed Unit, Laminated Glass, Low E Glass with Argon-Filled Insulating Glass Unit, Ceramic Painted Glass, Variety of edge work type, Beveled Glass, Multi edge Glass, and Heat Soak Test.

PPSB

Permint Plywood Sdn Bhd (PPSB), was incorporated on 27 April 1981. It started operations in May 1983 at Bandar Al Muktafi Billah Shah, Dungun, Terengganu. Currently, PPSB is a producer of woodchips and veneer for the local and export markets.
