Encik Khairul Nizam currently serves as Vice President / Acting Head of Group Corporate Strategy at Terengganu Inc, spearheading the Group's strategic transformation, growth agenda, and sustainability initiatives to strengthen long-term value creation and organizational resilience.
Since joining Terengganu Inc in 2016 as Vice President and Head of Group Internal Audit, he played a pivotal role in strengthening governance, risk management and assurance frameworks across the Group. His strong track record in institutional strengthening and strategic leadership led to his transition into the corporate strategy portfolio in 2023, where he now drives enterprise-wide strategic planning and future growth initiatives.
Among the latest strategic projects executed under his leadership are the Kenyir Floating Solar Phase 1 and TI Greenverse Scheduled Waste Phase 1,both of which reflect Terengganu Inc's commitment towards renewable energy development, environmental sustainability and the advancement of green economy initiatives in Terengganu.
With over two decades of professional experience, Khairul has built a distinguished career across finance, business development, project management, internal audit, governance, and corporate strategy. He began his professional journey with Sime Darby Berhad in credit and marketing before advancing into project management roles involving the development and execution of projects under the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER). He subsequently joined the Group Corporate Assurance division, further deepening his expertise in governance and organizational performance.
