YB. Dato’ Tun Ahmad Faisal bin Tun Abdul Razak is the State Financial Officer of Terengganu, a position he has held since 10 January 2026. He has over 30 years of experience in public administration, state finance, and economic planning, having served the Terengganu State Government since 1994. His substantial experience in business administration and finance has made him highly competent in the fundamental areas of the business sector, including long run economic growth.
He began his career as an Assistant Director at the Terengganu State Economic Planning Unit, before being appointed Assistant State Financial Officer at the Terengganu State Treasury from 2007 to 2010, where he gained extensive experience in state financial management and fiscal governance.
Between 2011 and 2017, he served as Deputy Director at the Terengganu State Economic Planning Unit. He later held the position of Director of the Terengganu State Tourism Department from 2017 to 2019.
YB. Dato’ Tun Ahmad Faisal subsequently served as District Officer of Marang from 2019 to 2021. From 2021 to 2025, he was appointed Deputy State Secretary (Development), concurrently serving as Director of the Terengganu State Economic Planning Unit, where he oversaw major state development initiatives.
Prior to his current appointment, he served as Director of Lands and Mines, Terengganu from May 2025 to January 2026.
