Encik Muhammad Ramizu is currently the Corporate Advisor of Mentri Besar, Trengganu (“MBI”).
With over two decades of experience in finance, accounting and corporate strategy across both local and international markets, Encik Muhammad Ramizu bin Mustaffa brings a wealth of expertise to his role as Corporate Advisor of MBI.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Salford, Manchester, United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (“ICAEW”) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”).
Beginning his career in audit with Arthur Andersen (which later merged with Ernst & Young (“EY”) Malaysia) in 2000 and later joined ECM Libra Berhad until 20024. He then expanded his professional footprint in the United Kingdom with EY and BDO Reading, specialising in national audit and corporate finance. Upon returning to Malaysia, he played a pivotal role at KLCC Property Holdings Berhad, leading the landmark establishment of KLCCP Stapled REIT, the first of its kind on Bursa Malaysia.
His leadership journey continued with senior finance roles at Sapura Resources Berhad and Putrajaya Leisure & Services Group, before joining Terengganu’s government-linked companies (GLCs) in 2018. He has served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Terengganu Incorporated Sdn. Bhd. and currently advises MBI while holding directorships in MBI Modal Sdn. Bhd., Permodalan Terengganu Berhad, Yayasan Terengganu and other subsidiaries.
From April 2022 to June 2024, he also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of TH Plantations Berhad and currently he is serving as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Golden Pharos Berhad.
